Mission in Hudson
Our Ministry in Hudson exists primarily through our church's worship and our relationships in the community.
Besides Sunday services we also have a fortnight foray into a local pub for "Theology on Tap". We go to a nearby bar, order a pint of a favorite beverage, and talk about various theological topics. As we do this it is our hope that people will overhear us "gossiping about the Gospel" and they might be drawn into the presence of God.
We also partner with other churches to help people in financial need.
Mission in the Metro
One of our main ministries in the metro area is our participation in a weekly meal for the homeless and needy people in the city of Akron. Once a month our church meets at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church where we prepare a meal and serve it to upwards of 100 people.
Mission in the Region
Our rector is also the Network Leader for the CrossRoads Network in the Anglican Mission. Fr. Joe oversees the new works as well as the established churches throughout most of Ohio. His main work here is to mentor, coach and prepare people for parish ministry.
Mission to the World
Our church is a mission outreach of the Anglican Church of Rwanda. As such we are partners with our African sisters and brothers who oversee our work in the United States. This fellowship is mutually encouraging and gives us unique opportunities in the Global South.
